The Trial of the Sekhemas in Path of Exile 2 is an endgame activity, similar to the Sanctum from the first game. It's a valuable source of loot, but can be challenging early on. While not directly part of the main storyline, completing it significantly aids early character progression. This guide covers essential information about accessing and completing the Trial of the Sekhemas.
To unlock the Trial, you must defeat Balbala the Traitor, a boss encountered in Traitor's Passage during Act 2. She's a formidable opponent early in the game, but defeating her rewards you with Balbala's Barya. This item is crucial for initiating the Trial.
After defeating Balbala, travel to the Trial of the Sekhemas location (accessible via the Ardura's travel map or waypoint). You'll find a ruined temple where Balbala, now acting as an advisor, awaits. Place Balbala's Barya on the Relic Altar to begin your Trial.
