Atlus producer Kazushi Wada reiterates the unlikelihood of the Persona 3 Portable female protagonist (FeMC), Kotone Shiomi/Minako Arisato, appearing in Persona 3 Reload. This decision, according to Wada, stems from significant development challenges and budgetary constraints.

The prohibitive costs and extensive development time required to integrate the FeMC were deemed unfeasible, even as post-launch DLC. While initially considered during planning for the Episode Aigis - The Answer DLC, the inclusion of the FeMC proved impractical within the project's timeframe and budget.

Wada's comments, reported by PC Gamer and Famitsu, emphasize the scale of the undertaking. He stated that adding the FeMC would have demanded significantly more resources than creating the Episode Aigis DLC, making it an insurmountable hurdle. This news is disappointing to many fans who hoped for the FeMC's inclusion in the Persona 3 Reload remake, either at launch or as future content.

Despite the FeMC's popularity in Persona 3 Portable, Wada's statements firmly suggest her appearance in Persona 3 Reload remains highly improbable. The development team's focus remains on the existing content and future planned updates.
