Marvel's upcoming film and television projects are numerous and complex, but the most significant recent development is Robert Downey Jr.'s return to the MCU. He won't reprise his role as Tony Stark, but instead will portray the highly anticipated villain, Doctor Doom, in Avengers: Doomsday. The specifics of his transition from Iron Man to the Fantastic Four's nemesis remain undisclosed. However, Avengers: Doomsday will be preceded by the Fantastic Four's MCU debut, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, slated for July 2025.
