Pokémon GO Adventure Week 2024: Epic Encounters and Mega Rewards!

The Adventure Week event returns to Pokémon GO in 2024, bringing a wave of thrilling in-game rewards and exciting activities. Following the conclusion of July’s events, players are in for a treat starting from Friday, August 2nd at 10 am until Monday, August 12th.

What’s In Store?

This year’s Adventure Week is all about Rock-type and Fossil Pokémon, offering numerous opportunities to catch these resilient and ancient creatures. You'll find them appearing more frequently in the wild, hatching from 7 km Eggs, and available through themed Field Research tasks.

A major highlight is the increased chance of encountering Shiny Pokémon, such as Aerodactyl. Other Rock-type favorites like Diglett and Bunnelby will also be more common in the wild. Keep your eyes peeled—you might just encounter an Aerodactyl on your adventures.

The 7 km Eggs will hatch into a variety of Fossil Pokémon, including Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, Archen, Tyrunt, and Amaura. Additionally, completing themed Field Research tasks can reward you with encounters with these Pokémon, along with valuable Mega Energy for Aerodactyl.

Spinning PokéStops during Adventure Week will double your XP in Pokémon GO, with a massive five times XP bonus for the first spin each day. If you enjoy hatching Pokémon, you’ll also earn double XP from that activity.

What Else Is New?

Adventure Week will also introduce new PokéStop Showcases and Collection Challenges. These challenges reward players with Stardust, additional encounters, and even more Mega Energy for Aerodactyl. Five-star raids during the event will feature Moltres, Thundurus Incarnate Forme, and Xerneas, adding to the excitement.

August’s Community Day will spotlight Poplio, with a Classic Community Day and a special Pokémon World Championship event also on the calendar. Prepare for an action-packed week and download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store to join in on the fun.
