Lunar New Year Event: January 29 – February 2

The Lunar New Year 2025 event, celebrating the Year of the Snake, is currently underway and will continue until February 2 at 8:00 PM local time. This event enhances the Pokémon GO experience with increased spawn rates for snake-themed Pokémon, including:

From 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM on February 3, Dynamax Moltres will appear as a Max Monday boss at all Power Spots. After this initial hour, the legendary firebird will remain available until February 9, though it will be less widespread as other Pokémon like Squirtle, Krabby, and Sobble also feature as Max Battle bosses until February 10. Karrablast & Shelmet Community Day: February 9

On Sunday, February 9, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, Pokémon GO will host a dual Community Day for Karrablast & Shelmet. This event offers players increased encounters with both Pokémon, along with evolution bonuses and a higher chance of encountering Shiny versions. Evolving Karrablast or Shelmet by February 16, 2025, at 10:00 PM will grant you an Escavalier with the Charged Attack Razor Shell or an Accelgor with Energy Ball, respectively. Beloved Buddies: February 11 – 15
