Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the upcoming festivities!
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza taking place in three global cities across different dates in May and June:

This annual event offers trainers exclusive items, enhanced gameplay, and incredible bonuses. In-person attendees can experience unique city-specific features and participate in various activities. Tickets are required for both in-person and online participation.
A key highlight is the chance to encounter rare Pokémon unavailable through standard gameplay. Expect exciting additions, similar to the 2024 event's Dusk Mane Necrozma, Dawn Wings Necrozma, and Marshadow appearances. Shiny Pokémon will also have increased appearance rates, varying by location.
In-person events offer exclusive merchandise, habitat-themed sets, community hubs, and team lounges for trainer interaction.
While specifics remain under wraps, expect a similar structure and excitement to previous Pokémon GO Fests.
Beyond the Pokémon GO Fest announcement, Niantic revealed two additional events for January 2025:
Fashion Week: Taken Over: Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Shroodle and Grafaiai debut, hatching from 12km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon, like Snivy and Tepig, will also appear. Look out for a fashionable Croagunk in snapshots!
Shadow Raid Day: Challenge Five-Star Shadow Raids to capture Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight additional Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh will have increased appearance rates, and lucky trainers can teach their captured Ho-Oh the signature move, Sacred Fire, using a Charged TM.
