This year's Pokémon Sleep winter holiday event brings two adorable Pokémon: Eevee in a Santa hat, Pawmi, and Alolan Vulpix! Let's dive into how to catch them.
Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix Debut in Pokémon Sleep
The December 2024 Holiday Dream Shard Research event, running the week of December 23rd, marks the arrival of Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix. Expect boosted encounter rates and bonus Dream Shards throughout the event. Shiny versions will also be available.
Catching Pawmi

Pawmi appears starting December 23rd at 3 PM on Greengrass Isle, Snowdrop Tundra, and Old Gold Power Plant. Pawmi, Pawmo, and Pawmot all have the Snoozing sleep type. While evolution via Candies is possible, studying their sleep styles requires wild encounters. A Snoozing sleep type (a common, light sleep) maximizes your chances. A Balanced Sleep type also works, but with reduced odds.
Catching Alolan Vulpix

Alolan Vulpix, also debuting December 23rd at 3 PM, is rarer. It's found only on Snowdrop Tundra. Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails have the Slumbering sleep type, requiring a deep, 8-hour sleep for optimal encounter rates. A Balanced Sleep type offers a smaller chance.

To maximize your chances of catching both Pawmi and Alolan Vulpix, head to Snowdrop Tundra during the event. However, be aware that this island often has high team requirements, so preparation is key.
