Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's Snake-Themed Mass Outbreak Event!

Get ready, Pokémon Trainers! A special Mass Outbreak event is slithering its way into Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, celebrating the Year of the Snake with boosted Shiny encounter rates!

From January 9th to 12th, Silicobra, Ekans, and Seviper will overrun Paldea. This limited-time event offers a fantastic chance to add Shiny versions of these serpentine Pokémon to your collection. The increased Shiny rate is a significant boost, making this event a must for Shiny hunters.

This event follows the recent Shiny Rayquaza Tera Raid, a fitting end to the Year of the Dragon. Now, as the Year of the Snake begins, this Mass Outbreak provides a thrilling new challenge. The event's timing is perfect, offering a fun activity before the potential launch of Pokémon Legends: Z-A in 2025.

Event Details:

  • Duration: January 9th (7:00 PM ET) – January 12th (6:59 PM ET)
  • Pokémon: Silicobra (various locations), Ekans (Kitakami region), Seviper (Terarium)
  • Shiny Odds: A 0.5% increase to base Shiny rates. Use Shiny Sandwiches for even better odds! (Salty/Spicy Herba Mystica + Green Bell Pepper for Ekans/Seviper; Ham instead of pepper for Silicobra)
  • Level Range: 10-65 (depending on game progress)
  • Access: Requires an internet connection. Access the event via the in-game Poke Portal News.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Mass Outbreak

The future of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet beyond this event remains a mystery. With the potential launch of Pokémon Legends: Z-A looming, the coming year promises exciting developments for the Pokémon franchise. Don't miss this opportunity to catch some Shiny snakes before the next chapter unfolds!
