The iconic Predator returns in full force: the electrifying teaser trailer for the sci-fi action sequel "Predator: Badlands" has just premiered online.
The gripping preview introduces Elle Fanning's character, seemingly stranded on a perilous futuristic planet. However, this Predator appears vastly different from its predecessors—possibly even taking on an unexpected protagonist role. "Prey director welcomes you to a world of agony," declares the haunting teaser.
Beyond its reimagined hunter, the trailer drops tantalizing Alien franchise connections—fueling speculation about potential AvP crossover setups. Fanning's eyes undergo the signature Weyland-Yutani synthetic transformation seen in Alien: Romulus, while a damaged vehicle conspicuously bears the notorious corporate logo.

Originally announced in February 2024 with an October release confirmation, Badlands debuted its trailer exclusively at CinemaCon before this public unveiling—giving fans their first proper look at the anticipated sequel.
The official synopsis reveals: "On a distant future world, an exiled young Predator forms an unlikely bond with human Thia, embarking on a deadly quest to confront destiny's greatest challenge."
"This film breaks all conventions," Fanning teased attendees at CinemaCon. "My character isn't prey—she becomes the Predator's ally. You'll witness this legendary hunter like never before... but I'll say no more!"
Helmed by Dan Trachtenberg ("10 Cloverfield Lane", "Prey") from his co-written screenplay with Patrick Aison, "Predator: Badlands" stalks theaters on November 7, 2025.
