Capcom has unveiled a new cinematic trailer for its forthcoming mobile strategy title, Resident Evil Survival Unit, which seems to verify the inclusion of several iconic enemies players will encounter.

While the cinematic trailer serves as a polished, flamboyant, and unabashedly grand showcase of everything the Resident Evil franchise stands for globally, it remains strictly cinematic in nature. Consequently, it unfortunately fails to provide deeper insight into the core gameplay systems.

The smartphone strategy spin-off received a full reveal last month, establishing that it takes place in an alternate universe where players assemble a team of series favorites to battle zombies and monsters. Today's roster notably features Mr. X, Nemesis, and... crocodiles.

Co-developed by Aniplex and Joycity, the gameplay involves constructing a recognizable mansion as your headquarters, serving as a living space for character interaction. You will then embark on survival missions against classic Resident Evil adversaries, with Aniplex promising an engaging "global multiplayer experience."

What about another major Resident Evil teaser from earlier this year? Resident Evil Requiem launches on February 27, 2026. As the next mainline installment in the series, it is helmed by Resident Evil 7 director Koshi Nakanishi and marks a return to the franchise's "overarching narrative" established over three decades ago.
