Here's your opportunity to snag a top-notch OLED TV at one of the lowest prices we've seen, particularly for a recent 2024 Samsung model. Currently, both Samsung Shop and Amazon are offering the 65" Samsung S85D 4K OLED Smart TV for just $999.99, complete with free delivery. This TV is an excellent choice to pair with your PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, thanks to its HDMI 2.1 inputs and support for 4K gaming at up to 120Hz.
65" Samsung S85D 4K OLED Smart TV for $997.99
The Samsung S85D is the most budget-friendly option in Samsung's 2024 OLED lineup. Unlike the higher-end S90D, which uses a quantum dot OLED panel and costs $500 more, the S85D features a standard W-OLED panel. In terms of image quality, it's on par with the LG B4 OLED TV, which is $200 more expensive. As a true OLED panel, the S85D offers near-instantaneous response times, a near-infinite contrast ratio, and true blacks, making it superior to other panel types for most applications. For those concerned about burn-in, it's worth noting that this is rarely an issue with OLED TVs; it's more of a concern with computer monitors where static images are common.
The Samsung S85D comes equipped with all the essential features you'd expect in a modern gaming TV, including HDMI 2.1 ports and a native 120Hz panel, enabling 4K gaming at 120Hz on a PS5 or Xbox Series X. It also supports variable refresh rate and auto low latency mode, making it an ideal match for the PlayStation 5 Pro, which can run most games at true 4K resolution at 120Hz.
Currently, this is the lowest price available for a brand new, fully warrantied 65" OLED TV, especially if you prefer a reputable brand like Samsung. If you're curious about how this TV compares to the upcoming 2025 OLED models, the improvements seem to be incremental, such as a slightly faster processor or enhanced anti-glare coating. The panel technology remains largely the same as the 2024 models.
