Exciting news for *Pokemon Home* enthusiasts: the latest update to version 3.2.2 introduces the opportunity to obtain Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan. These legendary and mythical Pokémon are highly sought after, and while the requirements might seem daunting, the reward is certainly worth it. Both Shiny Keldeo, previously unobtainable and Shiny-locked, and Shiny Meltan can be transferred to other *Pokemon* games linked to your *Home* account.

To secure Shiny Keldeo, you'll need to fully complete the Galar Pokedex. This involves registering every Pokémon from *Sword & Shield*, including those from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs, in their respective Pokedexes within the game. It's crucial to note that only Pokémon bearing the Galar origin mark, indicating they originated from *Sword & Shield* or its DLC, will count towards your Pokedex completion.

After successfully completing the Galar Pokedex, navigate to the main menu in *Pokemon Home*, select the three-line menu icon, and choose "Mystery Gift" to claim your Shiny Keldeo. There's no rush, as there's no deadline to claim this special Pokémon.

Remember, the Galar origin mark is a slanted PokéBall logo, which you can find above the stat screen of each Pokémon.

Similarly, to obtain Shiny Meltan, you must complete the Kanto Pokedex in *Pokemon Home* with Pokémon from *Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee*. These Pokémon need to have the Let's Go marker, represented by a Pikachu silhouette above their stat screen.

Upon completing your Kanto Pokedex, head to the main menu in *Pokemon Home* and select "Mystery Gift" to receive your Shiny Meltan. Like Keldeo, there's no deadline to claim this shiny variant.

Why Is Pokemon Home Not Registering My Pokedex?

If you're facing issues with *Pokemon Home* not registering your Pokedex entries, it might be due to a common data issue affecting mobile users. To resolve this, follow these steps as advised by Pokémon's support website:

  • Open the *Pokemon Home* app.
  • Select the "Menu" icon (three lines within a circle) in the top-right corner of the title screen.
  • Choose "Clear Cache."
  • Confirm by tapping "OK."
  • You'll receive a message confirming that the cache has been successfully cleared.

After clearing your cache, your Pokedex should start registering Pokémon correctly.

Now that you're equipped with the knowledge to capture Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan in *Pokemon Home*, you might want to explore strategies for defeating Mega Tyranitar in *Pokemon GO* or check out the latest *Pokemon GO* promo codes for additional rewards.
