Silent Hill 2 Remake: A Year of PlayStation Exclusivity

The "Silent Hill 2 - Immersion Trailer" on the PlayStation YouTube channel reveals that the Silent Hill 2 remake will enjoy at least a year of PS5 exclusivity. The game launches on PS5 and PC on October 8th, 2024. The trailer's closing moments explicitly state that the Silent Hill 2 remake is a "PlayStation 5 console exclusive," and will not be available on other platforms until October 8th, 2025.
Given the unlikely release of a PS6 by then, this suggests a potential launch on other consoles, including Xbox and Nintendo Switch, sometime in 2025.
PC players can currently pre-order the game on Steam. Sony's announcement also hints at the possibility of future releases on other PC platforms like Epic Games Store and GOG. However, this remains speculative until officially confirmed.
