Spider-Man stands apart in the Marvel universe with a supporting cast and rogues' gallery vast enough to fuel its own cinematic world. That was the thinking at Sony when they launched their Spider-Man Universe of spin-off films and series. Today, that ambitious slate has narrowed, with the most prominent project being Tom Holland's upcoming live-action sequel, the still-untitled Spider-Man 4. While films like *Madame Web*, *Morbius*, and *Kraven* have come and gone, leaving a lasting impression, the *Venom* trilogy has concluded. Meanwhile, *Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse* is getting a sequel, and a *Spider-Man Noir* series starring Nicolas Cage is in development.
Although recent reports indicate Sony is slowing down on new villain-centric spin-offs, several projects are still moving forward, with others in a state of limbo.
