Fans of the web-slinging hero can rejoice as Disney+'s animated series, "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man," which delves into Peter Parker's first year of high school, has been renewed for both Season 2 and Season 3. This exciting news comes ahead of the Season 1 premiere, set for tomorrow, January 29.
In a recent interview with The Movie Podcast, Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, shared enthusiastic insights into the show's progress. He revealed that the scripts for Season 2 are complete, and the team is already halfway through the animatics. Winderbaum's passion for the series is evident as he expressed his deep connection to the characters and storyline.
"I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters and I've now read all of the scripts for Season 2; we're halfway through the animatics," Winderbaum stated. He praised lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell for the meticulous development of the series, noting that the payoff begins in Season 1 and intensifies with each subsequent season. "What [Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off. And you feel it in Season 1. You grow connected to these characters so that when everything starts to lock into place and pay off by the end of the season. I feel it in my very soul and it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons."

Winderbaum also mentioned an upcoming meeting with Trammell to discuss the pitch for Season 3, though he did not provide any specific release dates for the upcoming seasons.
"Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" focuses on Peter Parker's journey as he navigates his first year of high school while discovering his superpowers. While it remains uncertain whether Season 2 will cover his sophomore year and Season 3 his junior year, or if the narrative will continue to explore his freshman experiences, fans can look forward to more thrilling adventures with the iconic superhero.
