Squid Game: Unleashed is celebrating Season Two with a massive content drop! Get ready for new characters, a fresh map, and exciting challenges. Plus, earn exclusive rewards by watching the new episodes on Netflix!
Netflix's surprise holiday release of Squid Game: Unleashed – a free-to-play battle royale experience – was a bold move. Now, they're doubling down, enticing both players and Netflix subscribers with enticing rewards tied to watching Season Two.
What's in store for existing players? Starting January 3rd, a new map inspired by the Season Two mini-game, Mingle, arrives. Playable avatars Geum-Ja, Yong-Sik, and rapper Thanos will also debut throughout January.
Geum-Ja and Thanos each have special in-game events on January 3rd and 9th respectively, offering unique unlock opportunities. And here's the kicker: watching Squid Game Season Two earns you in-game Cash and Wild Tokens! Watching up to seven episodes unlocks the exclusive Binni Binge-Watcher outfit.

January's Squid Game: Unleashed Events:
- January 3rd: Mingle map launches alongside Geum-Ja. The Dalgona Mash Up Collection Event (until January 9th) challenges players to complete Mingle mini-games and collect Dalgona tins.
- January 9th: Thanos arrives with his own recruitment event, Thanos’ Red Light Challenge (until January 14th). Eliminate players using knives to unlock him.
- January 16th: Yong-Sik joins the roster as the final new character in this wave.
Squid Game: Unleashed might be a game-changer for Netflix's gaming ambitions. Offering free access was a bold start, but rewarding subscribers and incentivizing viewing through in-game rewards is a clever strategy to synergize the game and the show's success.
