Marvel Rivals is a thrilling free-to-play PvP hero shooter where performance is key, and the game makes it clear who shone the brightest—or struggled the most—in each match. If you're curious about what SVP stands for in Marvel Rivals, here's your complete guide.
In Marvel Rivals, SVP stands for Second Valuable Player. This prestigious title is awarded to the standout player on the losing team. Don't mix it up with MVP, which stands for Most Valuable Player and is given to the top performer on the winning side.
Earning the SVP title in Marvel Rivals hinges on excelling in your chosen role. Here’s a quick guide to help you shine, regardless of your character type:
| Role | What to Do |
|---|---|
| Duelist | Deal the highest damage on your team. |
| Strategist | Heal the most HP on your team. |
| Vanguard | Block the most damage on your team. |
By mastering your role, you increase your chances of securing the SVP title, even if your team doesn't win.
In standard quick play matches, the SVP title in Marvel Rivals is purely honorary, recognizing the best player on the losing team without offering any tangible rewards.
However, in Competitive matches, the SVP title can be a game-changer. Players believe that if you earn SVP, you won't lose any ranked points, despite the loss. This means you maintain your progress and have an easier time climbing the ranks.
That wraps up everything you need to know about the SVP title in Marvel Rivals. For more tips and insights, be sure to check out The Escapist.
