Netmarble's upcoming mobile RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, has unveiled a new gameplay trailer and details about its closed beta test. The action-adventure title, set during the show's fourth season, promises engaging combat and a rich narrative experience.
The closed beta will run from January 16th to 22nd, 2025, in the US, Canada, and select European regions. Players can register via the game's official website. A full launch is planned for later in 2025.
This class-based RPG features "fully manual" controls, allowing for strategic combat. Players will encounter iconic characters like Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister, and even Drogon. The game boasts an original storyline centered around a new character, the heir to House Tyre in the North, expanding on the existing Game of Thrones lore.
The recently released trailer showcases the game's impressive graphics and fluid combat system. Netmarble, known for titles like Marvel Future Fight and Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, aims to deliver a "raw, aggressive, and destructive" combat experience.
The Game of Thrones: Kingsroad beta offers fans a chance to experience this new chapter in the Game of Thrones universe before the full release, bridging the gap while fans eagerly await the next installment of George R.R. Martin's book series, The Winds of Winter.
