Netflix has just unveiled the opening trailer for the highly anticipated anime adaptation of Devil May Cry, hot on the heels of announcing its premiere date. The trailer, set against the iconic nu-metal anthem "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit, showcases thrilling scenes featuring a young Dante, Lady, and White Rabbit. Fans will be delighted to spot numerous nods to the beloved video game series throughout the trailer.
Showrunner Adi Shankar has shared his ambitious vision for the series, which is set in the late 90s to early 2000s. He believes the soundtrack perfectly encapsulates the spirit of that era. In addition to Limp Bizkit, viewers can expect other tracks from the same time period, along with a reimagined soundtrack from the games by the synthwave duo Power Glove.

While plot specifics remain under wraps, the first season is slated to adapt the manga Code 1: Dante (Devil May Cry 3). It follows the young demon hunter as he delves into the mystery of a missing child, confronting his past, his family, and the legacy of his demon father, Sparda, along the way.
