World of Warcraft Adding Recolors of Rare Mounts, But There\'s a Catch

Two exclusive WoW mounts, the Blazing Royal Fire Hawk and the Golden Ashes of Al'ar, are making their debut in WoW China, starting January 15th. These mounts are reimagined versions of the incredibly rare Pureblood Fire Hawk and Ashes of Al'ar, respectively.

These new mounts are obtainable through separate promotional events. The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk is acquired through a "Treasure Workshop" event, details of which are yet to be fully revealed. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar is available via Landro's Loot Box, a ¥200 (approximately $27 USD) crate containing one of eight items, including other coveted rewards like the X-51 Nether Rocket X-TREME and the Swift Spectral Tiger. Group purchases offer bonus crates.

The Blazing Royal Fire Hawk, visually similar to its predecessor, features auspicious clouds within its wings while in flight, a nod to Chinese culture and symbolism. The Golden Ashes of Al'ar, a golden phoenix, boasts a stylish black saddle and evocative flavor text referencing Kael'thas Sunstrider's iconic line: "The golden Al'ar, beloved pet of Kael'thas Sunstrider, proves that death is merely a setback."

Currently, these mounts are exclusive to WoW China. While there's no confirmation of a global release, their stunning designs are sure to garner attention from players worldwide.
