World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways!

Get ready for a Timewalking marathon! World of Warcraft's Turbulent Timeways event is back, offering a whopping seven weeks of Timewalking campaigns until February 24th. This extended event provides players with ample opportunities to earn exciting rewards, including a wealth of Timewarped Badges and a significant experience boost. Complete the Mastery of Timeways for at least five weeks, and claim the coveted Timely Buzzbee mount!

Initially launched in September 2023, the Turbulent Timeways event featured five weeks of Timewalking. Players could earn a stackable buff, culminating in the Mastery of Timeways (a 20% experience bonus) after completing four Timewalking dungeons. This previous event rewarded the Sandy Shalewing pet to those who achieved the Mastery of Timeways each week.

This year's event surpasses its predecessor in scale and duration. Over seven consecutive weeks, players will journey through a different Timewalking expansion each week, starting with Mists of Pandaria on January 7th and concluding with Cataclysm the week of February 18th. All standard Timewalking activities, including quests, dungeons, and raids, will be available, alongside the return of the valuable Mastery of Timeways buff.

• February 4-10: The Burning Crusade

Earning Mastery of Timeways in five out of these seven weeks unlocks the Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2 achievement, granting the adorable Timely Buzzbee mount. Each expansion's Timewalking vendors boast new permanent items, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Additionally, the event offers a second chance to obtain the Sandy Shalewing pet. Completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest rewards a Cache of Nerubian Treasures containing Heroic-level gear throughout the Turbulent Timeways event.

Following the recent conclusion of World of Warcraft's 20th-anniversary event (which included 11 weeks of Timewalking), players will experience a remarkable 18 consecutive weeks of Timewalking adventures!

The Turbulent Timeways event's end date also offers clues about future World of Warcraft plans. With the final Timewalking campaign concluding on February 24th, and considering Blizzard's typical eight-week release schedule and the recent holiday season, February 25th emerges as the highly probable launch date for World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined. This aligns with a 10-week gap following Patch 11.0.7. Combined with the second run of Plunderstorm (January 14th-February 17th) and the upcoming major content update for The War Within, World of Warcraft is poised for an action-packed start to 2025.
