In the mid-2010s, three seasons of Daredevil captivated audiences with its gritty portrayal of Hell's Kitchen, earning critical acclaim and becoming a fan favorite. The 2018 cancellation by Netflix was a shock to many. While Charlie Cox's Daredevil made brief appearances in subsequent MCU projects like She-Hulk and Spider-Man: No Way Home, a solo series revival seemed unlikely. Yet, Daredevil has returned, and while now streaming on the more family-friendly Disney+, Marvel promises a return to the show's signature grit and action.

**Where to Stream Daredevil: Born Again** ------------------------------------------### Daredevil: Born Again
Daredevil returns exclusively on Disney+. Stream it now at Disney+! While Charlie Cox's Daredevil originated on Netflix, this masked vigilante's new adventures are now a Disney+ exclusive. (The original Daredevil series premiered in 2015; Disney+ launched in 2020.) You can now find both the original series and the new Daredevil: Born Again on the Disney-owned platform.
Disney+ subscriptions start at $9.99. While a free trial isn't offered, it's included in the bundled streaming package with Hulu and Max.
Daredevil: Born Again premiered on March 4th, with the first two episodes released simultaneously at 9 PM EST/6 PM PST. Subsequent episodes will be released weekly on Tuesdays, totaling nine episodes in the first season. A double-episode release is planned around the mid-season point. Episode lengths vary, ranging from approximately 39 minutes to over an hour.
Here's the full episode release schedule:
Daredevil: Born Again serves as a sequel to the 2015 Daredevil series, carrying over most characters and plot threads. While its exact placement within the MCU timeline remains unclear, following his solo series, Charlie Cox's Daredevil played a significant role in The Defenders and made appearances in She-Hulk and Spider-Man: No Way Home. His primary antagonist, Wilson Fisk, also appeared in the Disney+ series Echo.
While inspired by Frank Miller's "Born Again" comic arc, the show isn't a direct adaptation. Marvel's official synopsis states:
Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer with heightened abilities, fights for justice through his bustling law firm, while former mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) pursues his own political ambitions in New York. As their pasts resurface, both men find themselves on a collision course.
Initially planned as a 19-episode season, Daredevil: Born Again has been split into two nine-episode seasons for streaming. Season one comprises the first nine episodes, with the remaining nine episodes making up season two. The release date for season two is yet to be announced.
Daredevil was a key member of The Defenders, which ran for one season after the individual series of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. The possibility of other Defenders returning is currently being explored by Marvel.
Several cast members, including Matthew Lilliard, have been confirmed for Season 2.
