Tech enthusiasts continue to explore the potential of screen adaptations using modern technology, and their latest focus is the Witcher series. Sora AI, a YouTube channel creator, recently unveiled a concept trailer for a Witcher 3: Wild Hunt adaptation.
The trailer is styled to evoke the aesthetic of 1980s films, leveraging the power of neural networks. It features numerous recognizable characters from the Witcher universe, including Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, Triss Merigold, Regis, Dijkstra, Priscilla, and others. While some minor visual alterations are present, the characters remain easily identifiable.
Recently, the developers of Witcher 3 hinted at plans to incorporate Triss's wedding into the game. The "Ashen Marriage" quest was originally intended for Novigrad. The storyline depicts Triss developing feelings for Castello and her desire for a swift marriage. Geralt aids in the wedding preparations, tasks including ridding the canals of monsters, procuring alcohol, and selecting a wedding gift.
Interestingly, Triss's reaction is directly influenced by the chosen gift. Less elaborate presents are met with less enthusiasm, while a memory rose—a familiar item from Witcher 2—elicits a much stronger emotional response.
