Microsoft has confirmed the exciting lineup for Wave 1 of the Xbox Game Pass May 2025, showcasing 12 new games that will be added to the service through May 20. The highlight of this wave is undoubtedly Doom: The Dark Ages, the latest installment in id Software's renowned first-person shooter series, set to launch on Game Pass on day one.
Starting the month off strong, Dredge is available today, May 6, across Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S platforms on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard. This single-player fishing adventure promises a deep and mysterious experience, as players explore an eerie archipelago, dredge the depths for secrets, and sell their catches to upgrade their boats.
On May 7, a flurry of games hits the service, including Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard; Dungeons of Hinterberg (Console) on Game Pass Standard; Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn (Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Standard; and Metal Slug Tactics (Console) on Game Pass Standard. These additions offer a diverse range of experiences, from action-packed adventures to tactical gameplay.
May 8 brings two more day-one launches: Revenge of the Savage Planet (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, where players navigate a treacherous alien world to exact revenge on their former employer, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, featuring the iconic Turtle brothers in a new action-packed adventure.
Moving into the second week, Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (Cloud and Console) returns to the Game Pass library on May 13, available on Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard, offering intense co-op action in the Warhammer Fantasy Battles world.
The main event arrives on May 15 with Doom: The Dark Ages (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S), launching day-one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This prequel to Doom (2016) and Doom Eternal takes players back to a dark and sinister medieval war against Hell, continuing the legendary saga of the Doom Slayer.
On May 16, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins the lineup on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as another day-one title, offering a unique papercraft adventure in the mysterious world of Limbo.
Rounding out Wave 1 on May 20 are Firefighting Simulator: The Squad and Police Simulator: Patrol Officers (both available on Cloud, Console, and PC) across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, providing immersive simulation experiences.
