Explore Padua's eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites and their remarkable fresco collections.
Padova Urbs Picta is the official app guiding you through Padua's 14th-century frescoes: a timeless journey to experience masterpieces by Giotto and other fourteenth-century artists that transformed the city into a treasure chest of art and culture.
Visit all eight UNESCO World Heritage locations: Giotto's Scrovegni Chapel, the Church of the Eremitani, the Palazzo della Ragione, the Carraresi Palace Chapel, the Cathedral Baptistery, the Basilica and Monastery of St. Anthony, and the Oratories of St. George and St. Michael.
Each location is presented through ten engaging entries: texts are accompanied by reference images. You can choose to read or listen to audio content, including an autoplay mode. Use the glossary whenever something is unclear!
Track your activity completion percentage in your Journal and earn culture points! Collect badges, take the quiz, and unlock your medieval Beast—then delve into a story inspired by Padua's rich history.
Plan your itinerary effortlessly! The app lets you contact museum reception desks directly and visit their web pages. Explore nearby sites using the integrated Map and activate Google Maps geolocation services.
If you have feedback or observations, feel free to share them with us through the app. Your insights are highly appreciated! Enjoy your journey!
