Join Community Efforts to Track Sea Level Rise

The Sea Level Rise app empowers citizens to map local flooding, contributing vital data on rising sea levels and their consequences. While coastal communities worldwide face this growing threat, our initiative began in Hampton Roads, Virginia, leveraging the invaluable contributions of thousands of volunteers during annual "Catch the King Tide" events. Developed by Wetlands Watch, this app fosters a more informed and connected community, enabling proactive responses to sea level rise.

Access user-generated information on this global phenomenon and participate (as a volunteer) in gathering crucial street-level data essential for understanding and addressing the challenges it presents. The app allows you to:

• Contribute to community-based data collection initiatives, providing researchers and civic leaders with the localized information they need.
• Identify and report "Trouble" spots where high water disrupts travel during adverse weather.
• Capture and share photographic evidence of local flooding impacts.
• Access dedicated collaboration spaces (regions) to manage volunteers and coordinate mapping events.
