Application Description

Tarneeb is a card game for two teams, each comprising two players seated opposite each other at a table. A standard 52-card deck is used, and play proceeds counter-clockwise. Each player attempts to predict the number of "Allmat" (tricks) their team will win in a round.

The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" throws a type of paper to the floor. Other players must then throw the same type of paper. The player who throws the matching paper first wins the "Bamh." If a player doesn't have the matching paper type, they forfeit and the "Tarneeb" declarer has the option to choose a different paper type. "Tarneeb" papers are superior to all other types; the player throwing the strongest "Tarneeb" paper wins, unless a stronger one is played.

A round ends when all players have played their hands. Points are tallied. A bidding team only scores points if they win at least the number of "Allmat" they bid. If successful, their total "Allmat" won are added to their score; the opposing team receives no points. If they fail, their points are reduced by the number of "Allmat" they bid, and the opposing team gains that many points.

If either team wins 13 tricks without bidding for 13, 16 points are added to their score. Winning 13 tricks with a bid of 13 awards 26 points. Failing to achieve a bid of 13 results in a 16-point deduction.

The game concludes when a team reaches a total score of 41 or more points; that team is declared the winner.
