New for 2025: The Alienware Area-51 Chassis
Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis design closely resembles the 2024 R16 system but features minor aesthetic and cooling enhancements alongside updated components. The I/O panel is now at the top of the case, and the tempered glass window extends across the entire side panel, eliminating side panel vents. Air intakes are positioned at the bottom and front of the case to promote a positive airflow design, which helps reduce internal dust accumulation. The internal components have been refreshed, including a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest CPUs and RTX 50 series GPUs.
RTX 5080 and 5090 GPUs Are Sold Out Everywhere
The initial release of Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards sold out within an hour of preorders opening. The RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 were the first to hit the market, followed by the RTX 5070 Ti in February. Prebuilt gaming PCs with these GPUs have similarly vanished from stock, with prices increasing or delivery times extending.
