Applin Debuts in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries Await!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts, mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event is coming up, and it's set to be a thrilling adventure, especially with the debut of Applin. Whether you're into collecting new Pokémon or hunting for shinies, this event is not to be missed. Let's dive into all the juicy details.

When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and will run until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. The highlight of the event is the long-awaited debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, to evolve it into Appletun, you'll need 200 candies and 20 Sweet Apples. When evolving into its final form, Dipplin, it transforms into Hydrapple.

Now, about those Apples—key to Applin's evolution, they'll be scattered in the wild during the event. Tapping on them could yield a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering Apples are higher around Mossy Lure Modules.

Did You Know?

Did you know that Applin spends its entire life inside an apple? It cleverly hides from its natural enemies, bird Pokémon, by masquerading as just another fruit. Without a doubt, Applin is one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire roster of Pokémon GO.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can also snag some new avatar items from the in-game shop, including the Applin Headband and the Applin Apron. And don't forget about the bonuses—you'll earn 2× Candy for catching Pokémon throughout the event.

There's also an increased chance to encounter Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild. Plus, your odds of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs are boosted.

Another delightful feature of the event is the berry drop from Delibird and Skwovet catches. So, if you haven't already, grab Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and get ready for some sweet discoveries.
