Baldur's Gate 3 players are in for a chilling treat. A recently released preview showcases a terrifying new evil ending arriving with Patch 7, offering a glimpse into the darkest depths of the Dark Urge's potential.

Larian Studios unveiled a 52-second cinematic teaser on Twitter (X), highlighting one of the several new evil endings slated for Baldur's Gate 3's Patch 7. The focus is on the Dark Urge, and the consequences of a fully malevolent playthrough are truly unsettling.

The preview depicts the horrifying fate of the Dark Urge's companions. They witness their leader succumb to the will of their father, Bhaal, seizing control of the Netherbrain. The scene sets the stage for a reign of terror, with the companions becoming the first victims. The Dark Urge exerts mind control, forcing their companions to their deaths. A chilling narration accompanies the grim spectacle, declaring, "Time for the final act. Your tragedy has become mankind's," before the Dark Urge suffers a similar fate.
This is just one of many new evil endings coming in Patch 7. Larian's April community update promised "improved evil endings…for even darker conclusions to your most sinister playthroughs." The best part? These endings aren't exclusive to Dark Urge playthroughs.
Previously teased endings included the Dark Urge standing amidst a sea of blood and corpses, and a town consumed by "sheer mindless bliss" at the hands of the True Absolute.
What Else Awaits in Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7?
Patch 7 is a massive update, brimming with new content and significant improvements. Beyond the sinister new endings, expect a dynamic split-screen mode for co-op play, enhanced Honour Mode challenges, and a highly anticipated modding toolkit, empowering players to create their own content.
Larian Studios has confirmed that this isn't the end of the road for Baldur's Gate 3. With crossplay and photo mode on the horizon, they're committed to ongoing improvements based on community feedback.
Scheduled for a September release, Patch 7 is currently in closed beta. While the exact launch date remains unannounced, players can register on the Steam store page for a chance at early access.
