"We got to play what they have for Borderlands 4 so far, and it was amazing," Caleb shared. His account included a visit to the studio, where he met developers and even Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford. Following his time at Gearbox, Caleb and a friend enjoyed a VIP tour of the Omni Frisco Hotel at The Star, home to the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters.

While remaining tight-lipped about specific details of Borderlands 4, Caleb described the entire experience as "amazing and awesome," expressing immense gratitude to everyone who helped make his wish a reality.

A Community Rallies Behind a FanCaleb's journey began on October 24th, 2024, with a poignant Reddit post. He shared his cancer diagnosis and limited prognosis, expressing his desire to play Borderlands 4 before his time ran out. An outpouring of support followed, with many reaching out to Gearbox on Caleb's behalf. Randy Pitchford responded swiftly on Twitter (X), initiating contact with Caleb and promising to explore options. Within a month, Gearbox fulfilled Caleb's wish, granting him early access to the game ahead of its 2025 release.

A GoFundMe campaign launched to support Caleb's ongoing cancer treatment has also seen a surge in donations, exceeding $12,415 USD and surpassing its initial goal. The story of his Borderlands 4 experience has touched countless hearts, further fueling support for his cause.
