China has approved the release of the Genshin Impact, GTA and ZZZ hybrid

Project Mugen, now titled Ananta, is nearing its full release after generating significant buzz with its initial promotional materials. The game cleverly blends elements reminiscent of popular titles like Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and even GTA, all presented within a captivating anime aesthetic.

Ananta's release in China is confirmed for 2025 across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms. A December 5th trailer showcased the game as an open-world urban RPG, placing players in the role of an A.C.D. agent within the sun-kissed coastal city of Nova, a setting ripe with mystery and adventure.

This ambitious, large-scale project is a collaborative effort between NetEase Studios, Thunder Fire Studio, and Naked Rain. Its global appeal stems from its familiar yet supernatural environment, blending recognizable settings with a distinct otherworldly feel.

Key features highlighted for Ananta include four-player team-based battles, its striking art style, and the ability to move quickly and fluidly throughout the game world.
