Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Post-Launch Updates
Bug Fixes and Localization Enhancements
Sandfall Interactive recently unveiled Hotfix 1.2.2 for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, addressing various technical issues and language adjustments. According to a recent Steam announcement on April 30, players can now enjoy smoother gameplay with fixes for the infamous Grown Bourgeon soft-lock issue, as well as other soft-lock bugs encountered on the world map.
In addition, the update includes localized text updates for French, German, and Chinese versions of the game, ensuring a seamless experience for players worldwide.
While these improvements are crucial, fans eagerly anticipate larger content updates, such as potential DLC expansions. During a recent Q&A session on Instagram, Expedition 33's lead writer hinted at the possibility of future DLC, citing the game's commercial success as a strong indicator of its potential.
Expedition 33’s Creative Director Endorses Another RPG
In a collaborative nod between studios, Sandfall Games' Creative Director, Guillaume Broche, took to Twitter (X) to recommend The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy. Posted on April 30, his message encouraged players to explore this turn-based RPG, developed by an equally passionate team.
Broche's endorsement follows a reciprocal shoutout from The Hundred Line's co-director, Kazutaka Kodaka, who praised Expedition 33 and urged fans to experience both games. Kodaka emphasized the enduring appeal of his own title, even after completing Expedition 33.
Despite competing against other RPG heavyweights like Oblivion Remastered, The Hundred Line has garnered "Very Positive" reviews on Steam. Meanwhile, Expedition 33 continues to reign supreme, achieving the title of highest-rated game of 2025 and selling over 1 million copies within just three days of launch.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay tuned for further developments by clicking here.
