Hazelight Studios continues to stand out in the gaming world with its unique approach to co-op gaming. Their innovative Friend's Pass system, requiring only one purchase for two-player experiences, remains a distinctive feature, establishing a strong niche for the studio. However, a previous shortcoming—the absence of crossplay—has been addressed.
Excitingly, Split Fiction will fully support crossplay functionality, as officially confirmed by the developers. The Friend's Pass system returns, meaning only one player needs to buy the game for a shared experience (both players will need an EA account).
To further enhance accessibility, Hazelight is releasing a playable demo. Players can try the game together, and their progress will seamlessly transfer to the full game upon purchase.
Split Fiction promises diverse settings, but its core focus remains on exploring the complexities of human relationships. The game's launch is imminent, set for March 6th, and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
