- Monster Hunter Now's Driftsmelting Bonanza event launches imminently
- From June 30th through July 6th, Driftsmelting distance requirements drop significantly
- Defeating featured monsters will reward the new Mysterious Driftstone H material!
While Niantic's recent announcements primarily focused on Pokémon Go's upcoming stamp rally and Go Fest 2025, Monster Hunter Now devotees finally get some exciting news. The timing couldn't be better with the imminent Driftsmelting Bonanza event!
Running from June 30th to July 6th, hunters can expect increased encounters with Teostra, Bazelgeuse, Mizutsune, Nightshade Paolumu, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, and Great Girros. Each successful hunt grants a Mysterious Driftstone H - though standard Driftstone drops will be temporarily disabled during the event.
The Mysterious Driftstone H stands as this event's crown jewel. Dropped by any large monster, these special materials can bestow powerful armor skills including the brand-new Ailment Opportunist (perfect for exploiting monster debuffs!), alongside Status Sneak Attack and Blast Attack enhancements.

Monster Drift
The event's core feature remains the drastically reduced driftsmelting distance - plummeting from 5km to just 1km! Additionally, featured monsters yield greater rewards, with Teostra reigning supreme as the exclusive Elder Dragon Interception target throughout the event duration.
For hunters intimidated by Teostra, there's good news - simply repelling this fiery elder dragon still rewards the coveted Mysterious Driftstone H.
