Dune: Awakening Postponed Three Weeks for Enhanced Beta Improvements

Dune: Awakening, the anticipated open-world survival MMO inspired by Frank Herbert's iconic sci-fi novels and Denis Villeneuve's films, is now set to launch on June 10, 2025.

Funcom announced the update, noting that players eager for early access can dive into the game on June 5 by purchasing either the Deluxe Edition or Ultimate Edition.

Explaining the delay, Funcom stated that feedback from the ongoing Persistent Closed Beta prompted the decision to allow the team "additional time to refine." This extra period will enable them to incorporate changes identified and requested during the beta phase.

Additionally, Funcom revealed that the delay will facilitate a "major beta testing weekend next month, giving more players the chance to experience the game and provide valuable feedback."

While the postponement may disappoint fans eager to explore Dune: Awakening, Funcom is hosting a combat-focused livestream today at 12pm ET/9am PT, showcasing PvP and PvE mechanics, archetypes, and skills.
