Stone提到他儿子最近玩了《死亡空间》并爱不释手，甚至恳求他：“请告诉我你们会制作另一款《死亡空间》游戏！”Stone只能苦笑回应：“我希望如此。”
三人随后表示，他们确实在今年早些时候向EA提出了开发《死亡空间4》的想法。然而，EA似乎立即否决了开发团队的提案。“我们没有深入探讨，他们只是说‘我们现在没兴趣，感谢你们的提案’之类的，我们知道该和谁谈，所以没有进一步推进，”Schofield回忆道。“我们尊重他们的意见——他们知道自己的数据和必须交付的产品。”Stone还补充说，目前的行业处于“一个奇怪的境地”，人们不愿冒险，尤其是一个已有十年历史的系列。尽管《死亡空间》是一个知名系列，去年的重制版也获得了积极评价，在Metacritic上获得了89分，在Steam上也获得了“特别好评”的评价，但重制版的成功可能不足以让EA满意，他们可能不愿冒险开发旧IP的新作。“他们知道自己的数据和必须交付的产品，”Schofield补充道。
