Eastside Games has built a reputation for bringing unique and offbeat titles to the mobile gaming world. Think of their games based on Cheech & Chong and Trailer Park Boys, the RuPaul’s titles, or adaptations like Doctor Who: Lost in Time, The Office: Somehow We Manage, and The Goldbergs: Back to the 80s. The latest addition to this eclectic portfolio is Squishmallows Match.
Remember Squishmallows?
Eastside is partnering with Jazwares and Zaibatsu Interactive to launch the first-ever mobile game based on the massively popular plush toy line. Originally launched in 2017 by Kelly Toys and Jazwares, Squishmallows are known for their round, fluffy forms and come in a vast array of colors, sizes, and designs, ranging from animals to food items.
As for the upcoming game, it's a match-3 puzzle title set for a global release on September 2, 2025. Players will collect a wide variety of charming characters, assembling squads that feature rare and limited-edition Squishmallows. You can also personalize your player feed to showcase your collections and creative designs.
Customization options are plentiful. The game offers themed backgrounds, stickers, and of course, the Squishmallows characters themselves. A fun feature includes claw machines where you can test your luck to win rare plush collectibles.
Players can progress along the Squishmallows Reward Road to earn points and unlock Keys. Special items like Magnets are also available, boosting your chances of acquiring exclusive Squishmallows.
Squishmallows Match will introduce seasonal content via passes that offer time-limited characters. Additional features include wishlist tracking, community competitions, daily login bonuses, and various boosters. Get a first look in the video below.
Squishmallows Match is now open for pre-registration
Pre-registering now grants access to exclusive in-game rewards. You'll even have a chance to obtain a never-before-released Squishmallows, available both as a digital character in the game and as a real-life physical plush, before anyone else.
Among recent popular stuffed toy lines, Squishmallows stand out as a personal favorite for many, offering a distinct charm compared to other trends like the monster-inspired Labubu dolls. If you're also a fan of Squishmallows, you can find the game for pre-registration on the Google Play Store.
