Netflix has unveiled the thrilling trailer for Electric State, a new sci-fi epic brought to life by Anthony and Joe Russo, the acclaimed directors behind Avengers: Endgame. This eagerly anticipated film stars Millie Bobby Brown, known for her role in Stranger Things, as a determined young heroine, and Chris Pratt, famous from Guardians of the Galaxy, portraying a mysterious wanderer.
Set in a dystopian future following a devastating technological collapse, Electric State chronicles the harrowing journey of its protagonist across a ravaged American frontier. Her quest is to find her lost brother, accompanied by a charming yellow robot that brings a lighter note to the film's darker themes. Along their journey, they cross paths with a secretive drifter whose past might unlock the secrets of their broken world. Drawing inspiration from Simon Stålenhag's visionary graphic novels, the movie promises a blend of heart and suspense.
The cast is rounded out by notable talents such as Woody Harrelson of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Anthony Mackie from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Ke Huy Quan of Everything Everywhere All at Once, Billy Bob Thornton known for Goliath, and Giancarlo Esposito from Better Call Saul.
