New and Expired Members: Get PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium for $99.99 Annually

Mar 29,2025 Author: Alexis

Sony has introduced an exciting new discount for PlayStation Plus members in the US and select European countries, offering a significant price reduction for those with expired memberships or new subscribers. This promotion, available until February 24, presents a unique opportunity for gamers to join or renew at a discounted rate. Notably, both the Extra and Premium tiers are priced the same at $99.99 for a full year, which is a game-changer for those looking to maximize their gaming experience.

Considering that the Premium tier encompasses everything in the Extra tier, along with additional benefits like classic games, game trials, and cloud streaming, opting for Premium at this price point is a no-brainer. However, remember to disable auto-renewal after your purchase to avoid an unexpected price hike at the end of the 12-month period.

  • PS Plus Premium – 12-month subscription for $99.99 (regularly $159.99, a 37% discount)
  • PS Plus Extra – 12-month subscription for $99.99 (regularly $134.99, a 25% discount)

It's important to note that this offer is exclusive to users with expired PlayStation Plus memberships. Active subscribers cannot stack this deal onto their current plan, and canceling your membership now won't qualify you for the discount. If your current plan extends beyond the offer's end date, unfortunately, you won't be able to take advantage of this deal.

This promotion is limited to North America and select European countries, excluding the UK and other regions. Additionally, the Essential tier is not part of this promotion, continuing Sony's trend of focusing discounts on higher-tier memberships. While Essential members can upgrade at a prorated cost, there's no direct discount on 12-month Essential plans.

The timing of this discount aligns perfectly with the recent reveal of February's PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, featuring blockbuster titles like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, TopSpin 2K25, and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 1. Premium members will also enjoy access to new classic titles, such as Patapon 3 and Dropship: United Peace Force.

PlayStation Plus Premium is down to $99.99 for 12-months until February 24.
