New Game+ mode in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will be free

The holiday break is behind us, so let's dive back into some exciting gaming news! While we're all still waiting with bated breath for Nintendo Switch 2 updates, we have some fantastic news about a highly anticipated title: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio recently unveiled new gameplay footage, showcasing the Hawaiian pirate adventure and revealing some intriguing details.

The showcased gameplay highlighted extensive ship customization, open-world sea exploration, thrilling naval battles, engaging mini-games, and a diverse range of explorable locations. Goro Majima will boast two distinct fighting styles: a lightning-fast, agile approach and a more brutal style utilizing short swords and pirate weaponry.

Players can assemble a unique crew of allies, each contributing their skills to combat, exploration, and treasure hunting. The game promises a wealth of hidden islands and original side quests to uncover.

A major announcement came at the presentation's close: the highly requested "New Game+" mode will be free for all players! While not available at launch, it will be added via a post-release patch. This is a welcome change from the previous game, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, where this mode was exclusive to the premium edition, drawing significant criticism towards SEGA. This is excellent news, and with the game's release only about six weeks away, the wait won't be long.
