Genshin Impact Update 5.5: New Volcano Area Added

Mar 29,2025 Author: Emery

As the UK experiences a dip back to near-freezing temperatures and many other places struggle with the arrival of spring, Genshin Impact's upcoming 5.5 update, set to launch on March 26th, promises to bring the heat you need. Dubbed "Day of the Flame's Return," this update introduces the awe-inspiring Great Volcano of Tollan to the Natlan region, along with the long-awaited Sacred City of Tollan. Players can delve into this ancient Dragonborn-built structure to unravel the mysteries of the Flamelord's Blessing.

But the excitement doesn't stop at the volcanic landscapes. The update also marks the debut of the final tribe of Natlan, the Tribe of Plenty, and introduces a formidable new Saurian, the Tatankasaurus. This beast boasts the power and size to crush massive rocks, adding a thrilling new element to your adventures.

Genshin Impact 5.5 Update - Day of the Flame's ReturnWhile the volcano presents its own set of challenges, you won't have to face them alone. The 5.5 update brings two new characters to aid your journey. Varessa, a five-star Electro Catalyst user, unleashes devastating Electro damage, while Iansan, a four-star Electro Polearm wielder and one of the six heroes of Natlan, enhances attack damage and heals her allies, making her a valuable addition to any team.

Alongside these exciting additions, the update features a new seasonal event, the Tournament of Glory in Bloom, along with Event Wishes and more, all set to debut on March 26th. Get ready to immerse yourself in the fiery landscapes of Natlan with Genshin Impact's version 5.5, "Day of the Flame's Return."
