Google Play Store may soon introduce a handy new feature: automatic app launch upon installation. This potential addition, gleaned from an APK teardown, could save users several taps by opening newly downloaded apps instantly.
The Details:
According to Android Authority, the upcoming feature, tentatively titled "App Auto Open," will be entirely optional. Users can enable or disable it based on their preference. Once enabled, a notification banner (possibly accompanied by a sound or vibration) will appear for approximately five seconds following a successful app download, ensuring users don't miss the auto-launch.
Important Note: This information is currently unofficial and based on an APK teardown of Play Store version 41.4.19. There's no official announcement from Google, nor a confirmed release date. We will update you as soon as more information becomes available.
