In the heat of battle in Dynasty Warriors: Origins, taking damage is inevitable, especially for newcomers or those tackling higher difficulty settings. Fortunately, healing is simple and readily available. You'll need to utilize a specific item to replenish your health, and there's even an auto-heal option for those who prefer a hands-off approach.
Here's how to heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins:
How to Heal in Dynasty Warriors: Origins

Just like in previous Dynasty Warriors games, your lifeline is the humble meat bun. These can be found by smashing pots near enemy bases. Defeated enemy officers might also drop them, but only on Historian and Wayfarer difficulty levels. Hero and Ultimate Warrior difficulties remove this drop.

With a meat bun in your inventory, press Up on the D-Pad to consume it and restore health. If your inventory is full upon finding a meat bun, it will be automatically consumed (unless you're already at full health, in which case it remains on the ground). Initially, you can only carry three, but the "Meat Bun Glutton" skill increases your carrying capacity if needed.

Prefer not to micromanage your healing? Enable "Auto-Use Meat Buns" in the Configuration menu. This automatically uses meat buns when your health drops below a certain threshold. Even with auto-heal on, you can still manually use meat buns whenever you like, making it a worthwhile option regardless of your play style.
