Becoming a Hollow in the Hollow Era
Your journey begins as a Soul Spirit, a dead soul with a crucial decision: to become a Shinigami or a Hollow. Choosing the path of the Hollow requires you to break all the links on your chain, a process that will happen naturally every two minutes, ensuring you transform into a Hollow even if you do nothing.

Warning: Embracing the life of a Hollow in Hollow Era can be a grind. While they may seem cooler, achieving the lofty heights of Vasto Lorde or Espada involves extensive grinding and repetitive kills, demanding patience and persistence.
Hollow Progression in the Hollow Era
Your next goal is to evolve into a Gillian, a transformation achieved by relentlessly killing and consuming other Hollows. Reaching level 15 marks your evolution, but at level 10, you gain access to the Hueco Mundo dimension through a Garganta gateway, making it easier to find and consume Hollows.
As a Hollow, you're in constant danger, targeted by both Shinigami and other Hollows, unlike the relative safety enjoyed by Soul Reapers (Shinigami). For those interested, here’s our full Shinigami progression guide.
Gillian Form in the Hollow Era
As a Gillian, your focus shifts to eliminating more Hollows and engaging with Hollow Pillars in Hueco Mundo. Accumulating enough Progression Points will transport you to your inner world, where you must defeat five increasingly tough Hollows three times to evolve into an Adjucha.

These inner world Hollows are significantly harder to defeat, but don’t worry about dying; you can retry as many times as necessary.
Adjucha Form in the Hollow Era
As an Adjucha, you face a pivotal choice: evolve into a Vasto Lorde or an Arrancar. Let's explore the Arrancar path first.

Arrancar Progression
To become an Arrancar, you must find and interact with a Crystal Bush in Hueco Mundo, which appears every 30 to 60 minutes. Upon contact, you'll transform into an Arrancar, gaining access to Hueco Mundo and a list of all Arrancar Ressurections in Hollow Era.

At level 50, you can pursue your Resurrección, though currently, Arrancars are limited to Kendo skills, with hopes for more skills to be added soon.
Vasto Lorde Progression
Choosing the Vasto Lorde path requires continued elimination and consumption of Hollows to earn Progression Points. Be cautious, as dying results in a 1% loss of these points. To reach Vasto Lorde status, you need 800 Progression Points, earned as follows:
- Hollow: 1 Point
- Gillian: 6 Points
- Adjucha: 4 Points
- Vasto Lorde: 8 Points
- Arrancar: 8 Points
- Espada: 10 Points
Vasto Lorde Form in the Hollow Era
Evolving into a Vasto Lorde is more challenging than becoming an Arrancar. You must gather 800 Progression Points and collect all Hollow Items, which have random drop chances:
- Hollows: Back Fins (Epic, 5% drop chance, +1 HP regeneration), Fin Tail (Legendary, 1% drop chance, +1 Reiatsu regeneration and +1 Speed)
- Gillian: Back Spikes (Rare, 10% drop chance, +1 Reiatsu)
- Adjucha: Tail (Epic, 5% drop chance, +1 Speed), Single Horn (Uncommon, 25% drop chance, +1 Strength), Double Horn (Rare, 10% drop chance, +2 Strength), Triple Horn (Epic, 5%, +3 Strength)
- Vasto Lorde: Spiral Horn (Epic, 5% drop chance, +1 Reiatsu)
Becoming Espada in the Hollow Era
From the Vasto Lorde path, your next evolution is into an Espada. The process mirrors becoming an Arrancar: head to Hueco Mundo, find a Crystal Bush, and interact with it.

To spot the Crystal Bush more easily, disable Atmosphere, Bloom, and Depth of Field in your settings, then scan the area from a high vantage point.
How to Get Your Resurrección
As an Arrancar or Espada, your ultimate goal is to acquire your Resurrección. Reach level 50, then visit Isen, the King of Hueco Mundo, who will task you with defeating 50 Arrancars. Upon completion, you can activate your Resurrección when your Rage Bar is full and pulsating, using the default keybind "Y". Remember, your Resurrección deactivates when you run out of Reiatsu or Rage.

Hollow Era Tips and Tricks
Playing as a Hollow may seem more appealing, but it's less versatile than evolving as a Shinigami. Be ready for extensive grinding, and remember, as a Hollow, you'll be attacked by both Hollows and Shinigami. Use the lockup button to focus on your primary target during combat, especially when the game lags or bugs out, preventing movement without damage. Learn how to block enemy attacks quickly, as even low-level foes can deal significant damage, and your health doesn't regenerate quickly enough.
Upon death, you'll lose some money, and the trek back to your quest targets can be tedious. Invest in bus teleport to save time and effort. When collecting Skill Points, prioritize Strength and Speed to boost your damage output and movement speed, essential in the early stages. For navigation, press and hold J (default keybind) to reveal markers around Karakura with your Reiatsu sense.
This concludes our Hollow Era Hollow progression guide. The game is still under development, and you may encounter bugs and lag even on high-performance PCs. Before embarking on your journey, make sure to use Hollow Era codes to give yourself a boost, as this game presents a challenging experience.
