School Hero, a new Android beat 'em up from indie developer Gkoros Polychronis, bursts onto the scene with vibrant, comic-book-style visuals and surprisingly engaging gameplay. It's a fun, straightforward title that delivers on its promise of entertainment.

What is School Hero?

Play as "Hero"—yes, that's his name—a schoolboy with surprisingly powerful fists and a noble heart. The story follows a classic "save the girl" trope: you're the new kid in school, and your girlfriend's been kidnapped by a shadowy organization.

As you progress through punch-filled encounters and dramatic cutscenes, you'll uncover dark secrets hidden within the school's seemingly ordinary hallways. Gameplay is solid beat 'em up fare; you can grab and throw enemies, and utilize various environmental weapons.

Boss battles require learning attack patterns and exploiting openings, adding a satisfying layer of challenge reminiscent of classic beat 'em ups. The team captain boss fight is a particular highlight.
