Isometric Runner 'Mr. Box' Launches on iOS

Mar 14,2025 Author: Alexander

Mr. Box, a newly released endless runner on iOS, throws you into a frantic race across an isometric track filled with diverse zones and challenging obstacles. Unlike your typical endless runner protagonist, Mr. Box is a block-headed, somewhat put-upon, yet undeniably brave hero.

Assuming you're familiar with the endless runner genre (if you're reading this, you probably are!), let's focus on what sets Mr. Box apart. Its unique selling point is the isometric perspective, a distinct twist that shifts the gameplay from a simple 2D plane onto a three-dimensional track. While this adds a unique visual flair, the trailer and gameplay footage initially give a slight sense of vertigo. However, the core endless runner elements remain: multiple zones, power-ups to help navigate obstacles, and battles against enemies.

Despite some quirky design choices, Mr. Box clearly shows a lot of love and effort in its creation. The "tap & release" controls, unusual for a non-flying character, surprisingly work well within the isometric perspective. While not a revolutionary title, Mr. Box offers a refreshing level of originality compared to many recent app store releases. If you enjoy endless runners, it's definitely worth checking out.
