How to Romance a Character in Fields of Mistria

In *Fields of Mistria*, while you can befriend almost anyone, romance is exclusive to a select group of NPCs. With the v0.13.0 update, you have the option to pursue romance with one of 11 characters, including the intriguing Caldarus.
Each romanceable NPC has a heart meter that reflects your relationship status. To deepen your bond, engage frequently and attentively with your chosen NPC. Here are key steps to follow:
- Daily Interaction: Make it a point to talk to them every day. These conversations can seamlessly blend into your daily routines around town, significantly boosting your connection.
- Complete Requests: Pay attention to the town board for any tasks they might request. Fulfilling these will provide ample opportunities to increase their heart gauge.
- Gift Giving: You can give one gift per day, tailored to their preferences. These gifts can be foraged, crafted, or bought. On their birthday, which for Juniper is the 26th day of Fall, a gift she "loves" will significantly elevate her heart gauge.
Currently, NPC heart gauges can only reach up to six hearts. After hitting this milestone, a cutscene hints at a budding romance, but it's not fully realized yet. According to the game's roadmap, future updates will introduce 8 and 10-heart events, paving the way for marriage and children, ensuring your romantic journey in Mistria continues to blossom.

Juniper is a romanceable character in *Fields of Mistria*, often found searching for exotic witchcraft ingredients or managing her bathhouse in the northeastern part of town. To romance her, you should visit her regularly, complete her town board requests, and present her with thoughtful daily gifts.
Juniper has specific items she "likes" and "loves." Avoid gifting her universal dislikes shared by other NPCs, and particularly, Sod. You can monitor her heart gauge's progress in your journal under the heart icon tab.
