Lego Sets Reveal Mobs for Jack Black's Minecraft Movie

Lego has unveiled an exciting new line of sets inspired by the upcoming live-action film, *A Minecraft Movie*, featuring Jack Black as Steve. These sets provide a sneak peek into the mobs and scenes that fans can anticipate in the movie. As reported by Games Radar, the two newly announced sets are the Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring and The Ghast Balloon Village Attack, which will complement the existing range of regular Minecraft sets and include minifigures of characters such as Jack Black's Steve and Jason Momoa's The Garbage Man.

The Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring set, priced at $49.99 and comprising 491 pieces, hints at a thrilling gladiator-style battle scene in the film. It features Momoa's character, The Garbage Man, engaged in combat with a zombie riding a giant chicken. While it's unclear if this represents a baby zombie on a regular chicken or a scaled-up version, the ensemble is about twice the height of The Garbage Man. The set also includes figures of Steve, his friend Henry, and a giant zombie pigman, along with a fighting ring, a chest filled with gold, and a small viewing stand equipped with weapons.

The second set, The Ghast Balloon Village Attack, priced at $69.99 with 555 pieces, introduces the Nether's iconic ghast into the film's narrative. This set depicts a dramatic battle scene set in an overworld village, featuring a village minifigure, two piglins, Steve, Natalie, Dawn, and an iron golem. Both sets will be available starting March 1, a month before *A Minecraft Movie* premieres in theaters on April 4.

The film, officially revealed in September, initially faced criticism from fans due to the contrast between the live-action characters and the CGI-generated animated world. In response, one fan even recreated the trailer in a fully animated format. Addressing the backlash, the director and producer, in a November interview with IGN, assured that they were prepared for all reactions and ready to deliver an engaging cinematic experience.
