Mike Fitzgerald, Insomniac Games' Core Technology Director, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the PC version's tailored graphical options.
All post-launch content updates from the PS5 version will be included. This means twelve new suits (including Symbiote Suit styles), New Game+, "Ultimate Levels," enhanced Photo Mode features, new time-of-day options, and post-game achievements. The Digital Deluxe Edition will offer even more. However, no new story content will be added.
A significant drawback is the requirement of a PlayStation Network (PSN) account, a growing trend among PlayStation PC ports. This excludes players in regions without PSN access, raising concerns about accessibility. While Sony previously reversed a similar policy for Helldivers 2, the issue persists with several other titles. The necessity of linking a Steam account to PSN for single-player games remains a point of debate among players.
The PC release completes the trilogy's arrival on PC, showcasing Sony's commitment to expanding its reach beyond PlayStation consoles.
